The piece provides a stupendous summary of both the history and current status of Piping Plovers. It also mentions the disturbances all of us regularly note during monitoring and discusses some of the breeding biology of the species. Thanks to Miley for writing such a fantastic piece on one of our focal species! We are all so glad they have had productive year so far at some of our beaches, especially at Connecticut Audubon Society's Coastal Center at Milford Point. Please pass this piece on to anyone and everyone! Education is one of the cornerstones of our efforts.
