New Volunteer Field Training Tomorrow

We hope to see you at new volunteer field training tomorrow, April 15th, from 10-12pm at Sandy/Morse Points in West Haven if you are one of our new monitors. The beach is located at the end of 1st Ave./Beach St. in West Haven. We will take care of free parking for the lot with the City of West Haven. We will see Piping Plovers, American Oystercatchers, and more.

There is a chance of showers, but they'll likely be focused more in the afternoon, sporadic and/or light, and training is still on. Remember that despite the historic heat of the past few days, tomorrow will be cooler. It is usually 10-15 degrees colder at the shore than inland in the spring, and a rain jacket might be useful just in case along with the usual field gear.

This is also a great time, at the beginning (10) or end of the session (noon), to pick up a badge, lanyard, drop off waiver forms, or get an AAfCW t-shirt for any monitors, including past, and you do not need to attend training. We will see you tomorrow!

Best,
Scott Kruitbosch
AAfCW Volunteer Coordinator
